It is our hope every year to improve on our culminating event and on the quality of experience for our wrestlers. Please take a few moments to share with us what you think went well, what could be improved upon and what were some of your struggles over the course of this season. The survey covers a wide range of topics from registration to officiating to scheduling and finally it spends some time gathering your thoughts on this weekend’s tournament. We need your thoughts and input in order to improve on this event, meet your needs, and more importantly on our endeavor to improve the quality of opportunities to expand the sport of wrestling in Wyoming.

ALL REGISTRATIONS AND PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE ONLINE AT www.trackwrestling.com  USAW card must be present at registration. Registrations will close Thursday, April 4^th at 8pm.

Weigh-Ins: Wrestlers will need to weigh in at their home site in the presence of the Club President and an Official who will both sign off on weights.  Weights need to be emailed to mschommer@hiredintel.com by Thursday April 4^th by 8:00 pm.

Awards: Greco – Medals for 1^st-5^th

Freestyle – Trophies for 1^st, Medals for 2^nd-5^th

Schedule: Greco – Friday April 5^th starting at 6:00 pm-completion for Bantam-Cadets.  Mandatory check in, skin check, and fingernail check from 5:00-5:20 pm.

Freestyle – Peewee and Bantam 9:00 am-Completion.  Mandatory check in, skin check, and fingernail check from 8:00-8:20 am.

Intermediate-Cadets 12:00pm-Completion.  Mandatory check in, skin check, and fingernail check from 11:00-11:20 am.

If you are not present during check in time, you will be eliminated from the bracket

This year our middle school team will be traveling to Des Moines, Iowa to participate in the AAU Lee Pamulak Middle School National Duals. The wrestlers will also be given the opportunity to wrestle in the Yellowstone National Middle School Duals in Cody, Wyoming.

SANCTION:                   This tournament is sanctioned by USA Wrestling (USAW) and Wyoming Amateur Wrestling Association (WAWA) and a current USA Wrestling card will be required.

HEADGEAR & SINGLETS:   Headgear and one red & one blue singlet (or reversible) required (NO ANKLE BANDS will be used, athletes must be in correct color of singlet for each match).

COACHES:                    Only coaches with a current USAW license will receive a coaching wrist band to coach at mat side.

OFFICIALS:                   Each club is required to comply with WAWA guidelines for mat and pairing officials.

AWARDS:                     Medals will be awarded at mat side for 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd,  ribbons for  4^th, 5^th & 6th. Trophies for fastest pin in each age group will be awarded. Team trophies for 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd place. HUGE TEAM TROPHIES so bring your mat and pairing officials. Only teams meeting WAWA criteria for number of mat and pairing officials will be eligible for team awards. Matt Yeager Memorial Award for outstanding mat official and  SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD will be awarded at conclusion of wrestling.

CONTESTANTS NEED NOT QUALIFY BUT MUST BE A WYOMING RESIDENT AND BE PREREGISTERED. THERE WILL BE NO ONSITE REGISTRATION AT THE TOURNAMENT.

WEIGH-INS: One weigh-in for those wrestling two or more styles. Athletes must actively compete in the each style in order to not weigh-in for the following styles.

ADMISSION FEES:

Day Pass $5 per person — Tournament Pass $10 per person — No Charge for age 8 or under

COACHING:

Only 2 coaches with proper credentials per wrestler at mat side. A Photographer with the proper credentials will be considered as one of the coaches at mat side.

FLOOR PASSES:

CERTIFIED WAWA COACH:

1. Current USA Wrestling Coach Card

2. Copper or higher Coaching Certification and

3. WAWA Current Rules Clinic Card

THERE WILL BE NO COACH’S CARDS SOLD AT STATE TOURNAMENT. PLEASE NOTE: A list of team coaches must be sent to Kenny Osbourne’s email address, ozzyiron@bresnan.net. If a club fails to send the list, coach bands will be distributed for that club on a first come, first serve basis. TO RECEIVE A COACH WRIST BAND, ALL 3 PROPER CREDENTIALS MUST BE PRESENTED AT THE TOURNAMENT. NO EXCEPTIONS

RULES:

The rules of F.I.L.A. with current USA and WAWA Wrestling modifications where applicable, will govern the event and the competition.

UNIFORMS:

It is strongly encouraged that all athletes have both a predominately red and a predominately blue singlet for Folkstyle competition and is required for Freestyle and Greco-Roman competition. Laces must be secured by tape or other means. Head gear required.

INJURIES:

In the event of injury or illness, no contestant will be permitted to continue the competition without approval of the Chief Medical Officer, whose decision is final and not subject to appeal.

PAIRING:

WAWA will follow National and Regional guidelines for pairing. Trackwrestling will be used.

TEAM AWARDS:

Two divisions will be awarded, larger clubs and smaller clubs, this will be determined by the Registration Chairman and the Pairing Director at the time of the tournament. WAWA State Team Awards for 1^st and 2^nd place will be awarded for each style. 1^st place will be awarded in Female Freestyle. Team scoring structure: each club must turn in an officials list with the appropriate number and names of Mat and Pairing Officials to the state Pairing Director or designee within 30 minutes after weigh-ins close for each style. No Exceptions! Once the roster has been submitted it may not be changed. Pairing and Mat Officials must attend the State Clinic at the tournament to qualify for team points. Number of required officials for team awards are as follows: 5 to14 wrestlers – 1 mat official and 1 pairing official; 15 to 24 wrestlers – 2 mat officials and 2 pairing officials; 25 to 34 wrestlers – 3 mat officials and 3 pairing officials; 35 to 44 wrestlers – 4 mat officials and 3 pairing officials; 45 to 54 wrestlers – 5 mat officials and 4 pairing officials; 55 to 64 wrestlers – 6 mat officials and 5 pairing officials. For additional calculations for each ten additional wrestlers the officials will increase by one respectfully.

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS:

Medals will be given to the top six (6) place winners in each weight class and all styles.
