Sunday afternoon’s action started off at 149, as Austin Breckenridge stepped onto the mat to face off against Boise State’s Jake Velarde. Just 2:40 into the first period Breckenridge secured the fall, and set the pace for the Pokes.

Next up at 157, in his first dual action this season UW’s Brandon Richardson picked up a 10-1 major decision win over Boise State’s Lucas Somera.

Dakota Friesth ranked 18th in the nation would be next up, taking on Taylor West at 165 pounds. Friesth earned the Pokes another 3 points with a solid 7-4 decision over West.

At 174 lbs. Rock Springs native Andy McCulley, who is ranked as high as 14th in the nation, earned his 100th career win. Andy wrestled a great match against a very tough Austin Dewey, when the dust settled McCulley had earned the 2-1 decision.

Wrestling at 184 pounds, Benjamin Stroh was the next wrestler to take to the mat for Wyoming. It took just 1:41 for Stroh to secure the fall over Boise State’s Holden Packard to extend the Cowboys lead to 22-0.

The bout at 197 pounds featured UW’s 14th ranked Shane Woods against Boise’s Cody Dixon. Woods earned a solid 5-1 decision over Dixon.

When the heavyweights hit the mat Leland Pfeifer went to work and earned a 6-2 decision over Boise State's Gaylen Demo.

15th ranked Tyler Cox was next up at 125 pounds, and this was hands down the most exciting match of the dual.  By the end of the second period Cox was behind 9-3.  In the third period Cox came out on fire and tried to create as much action as he could. One minute into the period he finally got off a successful attack, Cox immediately let Kuhn back up and went back to work. In the final minute Tyler scored 4 takedowns and secured 2 nearfall to bring the final score to 14-12.

Sophomore Drew Templeman didn’t have the opportunity to wrestle as Boise State forfeited the 133 pound weight class.

Wrestling at 141 pounds in the final match of the night Cole Mendenhall took to the mat to square off against 6th ranked Geordan Martinez of Boise State. Geo defeated Cole 10-3 Giving Boise State the only points they would earn to end the dual with UW winning 37-3.
